The project innovatively applies lifting square beam screens as the dynamic visual core, matched with laser lights, bee-eye lights, effect lights and beam lights. With vertical lifting mechanical aesthetics and a multi-dimensional lighting effect matrix, it successfully reshapes the venue experience and establishes a new landmark for nightlife in northern Dongguan.
Case Introduction
The core challenge of Dongguan Zhangmutou Bar was the limitation of the original spatial structure: sufficient ceiling height but monotonous visual layers, lacking a iconic visual element to dominate the whole venue. The client hoped to create a highly recognizable nightlife space with a strong sense of technology and memorability within a limited budget.
Our solution centers on an innovative product: the Lifting Square Beam Screen. This device, integrating mechanical lifting and beam display, became the absolute visual core of the entire space. It can lift smoothly between the ceiling and the stage according to music rhythm and scene needs: when raised, the square beam screen unfolds into a brilliant beam matrix overlooking the whole venue; when lowered, it integrates with the stage to form an impactful “light curtain wall”, shortening the distance between performers and the audience. Its unique square structure and dynamic lifting capability break the limitations of traditional static lighting installation, injecting “breathable” mechanical aesthetics into the space.
Around this core, we deployed laser lights to outline sharp green and red light tracks in the air, enhancing visual penetration; bee-eye lights, with their unique micro-lens array, spread delicate particle light spots on walls and ceilings, creating a deep digital starry background; effect lights are responsible for rendering emotional colors and dynamic textures, creating rich effects such as rotating nebulae and flowing ripples through prisms and gobo wheels; beam lights use high-brightness linear beams to quickly cut and scan in the air, building a clear spatial structure and dynamic rhythm.
Five types of fixtures work in deep coordination through the central control system. With the lifting square beam screen as the core, laser lights as lines, bee-eye lights as background, effect lights as colors, and beam lights as structure, they jointly perform a complete light and shadow narrative rising from the ground to the air, making Zhangmutou Bar the most recognizable tech-style nightlife venue in northern Dongguan.

Client Background
Zhangmutou Bar is located in the core business area of Zhangmutou Town, Dongguan City, targeting local young white-collar workers, trendsetters and nightlife lovers from surrounding towns. The owner has years of experience in entertainment venue operation and hoped to upgrade the traditional bar model to create a distinctive space that “people will remember at a glance”. The original structure is a rectangular bay with sufficient ceiling height but an empty top, lacking a visual focus. The client clearly required a core visual device of “venue-defining” level, adaptability to various music styles (from pop, Hip-Hop to electronic music), and a controlled budget.
Cooperation Process
Cooperation began with the client’s frank communication about “space pain points”. After on-site investigation, our team proposed the Lifting Square Beam Screen as the core solution to break spatial monotony through vertical movement. We produced a detailed 3D effect simulation video to show the client the spatial experience of the lifting screen at raised, hovering and lowered positions, as well as complete scenes working with other fixtures.
After the plan was confirmed, we conducted multiple tests on the motor’s silent performance, lifting speed and load safety of the lifting screen to ensure stable and safe mechanical operation. After production, our engineers supervised on-site installation and provided systematic training for the bar’s lighting designer, focusing on linkage programming skills between the lifting screen and music rhythm.
