Its core challenge was to move beyond conventional nightclub lighting paradigms and create a system that echoes the high-tech identity of Shenzhen as a “digital city,” while delivering a sophisticated, avant-garde, and artistically expressive immersive environment.

Fengyi Lighting has successfully landed at ATOM, the top nightclub in Shinjuku, Tokyo. With a five-product matrix — Triangle Lights, Matrix Lights, Beam Lights, Bee-Eye Lights, and Face Lights — we have created a highly futuristic, layered immersive lighting space in the heart of Kabukicho. This project marks an important milestone for Fengyi in the high-end Japanese market and has conquered one of the world’s most demanding stages for nightlife with a professional-grade lighting solution.
Case Introduction
Shinjuku Kabukicho in Tokyo is one of the global meccas of nightlife culture, imposing extremely strict standards for visual quality in entertainment venues. As a benchmark nightclub in the area, ATOM SHINJUKU faced a core challenge: how to create a dynamic visual environment that balances technology and art, while adapting to diverse music styles and event themes within a premium commercial space.
Our solution is a multi-layer, full-scenario lighting ecosystem.
Triangle Lights, with their unique geometric shape and precise beam control, serve as the “visual anchor” of the space, forming ever-changing three-dimensional light structures through modular combinations.
Matrix Lights, equipped with 25 independently controllable pixel units, display flowing digital patterns, dynamic text, and abstract geometry on walls and above the dance floor, injecting rich technological textures into the venue.
Beam Lights produce high-brightness, sharp light beams that cut and scan rapidly in the air, defining clear spatial structure and dynamic rhythm with strong penetration covering the entire venue.
Bee-Eye Lights feature a distinctive microlens array that projects dense, independently controlled light points, simulating star clusters, digital rain, and particle flows to create a deep, breathing visual foundation.
Face Lights provide critical functional illumination, ensuring accurate and even basic lighting for the DJ booth, performance areas, and key details.
The five types of fixtures work in deep synergy via a central control system:

ATOM SHINJUKU is located in the core area of Kabukicho, Shinjuku, Tokyo, and is one of the most influential nightclubs in the district. The cooperation began with the client’s strict “Tokyo-standard” requirements.

Based on ATOM’s brand positioning, we proposed a system solution centered on Triangle Lights, supported by the five fixture types. We presented a complete preview of lighting scenes across different time periods and music styles through high-precision 3D effect simulation videos.
After approval, production and testing were carried out in strict accordance with Japanese electrical safety standards, ensuring all products met PSE certification.
Urgent air freight was used for on-time delivery to Tokyo.
