As one of the most influential online live galas of the year, the Douyin Little New Year Gala brought together numerous A-list celebrities and hundreds of millions of online viewers. The core challenge was to meet the high-definition quality requirements of television-level live broadcasting while delivering an immersive experience for the live audience, strengthening emotional expression through lighting design, and creating viral visual highlights.
Our solution centered on a highly visually impactful core product: the kinetic lifting meteor light. Dozens of kinetic lifting meteor lights descended slowly from the top of the stage, simulating the stunning effect of shooting stars streaking across the sky, becoming the most unforgettable visual symbol of the entire gala. These meteor lights can achieve independent lifting, color changing, and dynamic falling under programming control, matching the rhythm of music and the emotion of performances to create multiple atmospheres from romantic starry skies to brilliant galaxies.
Around this core element, we deployed profile lights as "light sculptors". With precise graphic cutting and CMY color mixing capabilities, they created customized visual backdrops for each artist, from clear logo projections to flowing geometric light patterns, giving each performance a unique visual language. Beam lights constructed spatial structures with high-brightness sharp beams, rapidly cutting and scanning during dance climaxes and song choruses to ignite the energy of the whole venue. Laser lights, with pure red and green beams, sketched sharp light trails and geometric patterns in the air, adding a futuristic technological touch to the stage.

We proposed kinetic lifting meteor lights as the core visual symbol, supported by precise storytelling of profile lights, rhythmic control of beam lights, and embellishment of laser lights. After the plan was confirmed, we produced a complete lighting programming preview video, frame-matched with the performance schedule. During production, we enhanced flicker-free dimming and color temperature consistency tests for live broadcast requirements.
