Pixelated Metropolis | Circle Club Shenzhen Lighting Project
In Shenzhen, a city defined by “technology and speed,” Circle Club aims to become a premium social venue that reflects the core spirit of the metropolis. Its core challenge was to move beyond conventional nightclub lighting paradigms and create a system that echoes the high-tech identity of Shenzhen as a “digital city,” while delivering a sophisticated, avant-garde, and artistically expressive immersive environment.
Our solution is a futuristic layered visual system. Twenty bee-eye lights form the “digital foundation” of the space. Their custom micro-lens array projects dense, crisp light dots, simulating data streams, digital rain, or pixel matrices, laying a dynamic backdrop full of technological texture and infinite possibilities for the club. Ten full-feature effect lights serve as the “atmospheric core.” Using high-speed rotating multi-prism systems, they split light beams to create radial halos, infinitely extending tunnel visions, and complex dynamic graphic textures.Their precise CMY color-mixing system delivers intensely futuristic hues, from crisp electric blues and purples to blazing lava oranges and reds, precisely shaping the on-site atmosphere.
Fifteen high-power beam lights act as “spatial architects.” Using sharp, brilliant beams as “brushes of light,” they cut and sweep rapidly through the particle field created by the bee-eye lights, outlining crisp geometric lines and ever-transforming spatial structures that mimic the rhythm of the urban skyline and laser-sharp precision energy.All three fixture types are deeply synchronized via a central control console, enabling real-time interaction between particle flows, color waves, and beam structures. They perform a complete narrative from digital encoding and data surging to virtual architecture construction, turning the entire venue into a explorable, living “digital organism.”
Client Background
Circle Club Shenzhen is located in the core commercial district of Nanshan District, targeting tech elites, creative professionals, and trendsetters in the city. The client was not satisfied with mere dazzling visual effects; its deeper demand was to create a thoughtful, resonant visual identity.They required a lighting system that embodied the brand philosophy — connection, innovation, and futurism — that could flexibly adapt to diverse scenarios ranging from art salons and music label events to high-end fashion parties, while possessing strong social media viral potential.
Cooperation Process
The collaboration began with the client’s in-depth exploration of “technological aesthetics.” Our team held multiple co-creation sessions with the client and its interior designers, breaking down the concept of “digital metropolis” into three core visual elements: pixel, data stream, and structured light.
Based on this, we proposed a three-tier system solution centered on bee-eye lights, effect lights, and beam lights, and presented a full visual experience for different time slots and event themes using high-precision 3D lighting simulation software.Following approval, we completed customized production and rigorous in-factory testing. Professional project managers oversaw on-site installation, system network construction, and full-show programming. Finally, we delivered certified operational training and a flexible, callable scene library for the operation team.
